When you use MyCourtLetter.com, we collect:
- Form data you provide — your name, address, and details about the court case, used solely to generate your letter
- Your email address — used to deliver your completed letter
- Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card number
- Basic usage data — anonymous information like which pages are visited, used to improve the service
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate your character reference letter using AI
- To email your completed letter to you as a PDF attachment
- To process your payment through Stripe
- To provide customer support if you contact us
We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose beyond delivering your order.
3. Data Retention
Your form data (names, addresses, case details) is stored in temporary memory on our server only for the time needed to generate your letter — typically under 60 seconds. It is not written to a permanent database. After generation, it is deleted automatically.
Your email address may be retained for up to 90 days for customer support purposes, after which it is deleted.
4. Third-Party Services
- Stripe — processes all payments. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data: stripe.com/privacy
- Resend — delivers your confirmation email. Resend does not use your email address for any purpose beyond delivery
- Anthropic Claude AI — used to generate your letter text. Your form data is sent to Anthropic's API. Anthropic's privacy policy applies: anthropic.com/privacy
- Render — our hosting provider. Your data passes through Render's servers to deliver the service
5. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS encryption. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe with PCI DSS compliance. Your sensitive case information is never stored in a permanent database.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request deletion of any data we hold about you
- Request a copy of any data we hold about you
- Contact us with any privacy concerns

7. Children's Privacy
This Service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
8. Changes to This Policy
